LX Pantos Supports Fund for a Hero of Osong

LX Pantos has decided to provide Mr. Yoo Byung-jo with a support fund of KRW 50 million for restoring his truck, which was damaged from a flooding accident.
Mr. Yoo, a 44-year-old truck driver, risked his life to save three people during a flood in the Osong Underground Passage on July 15, 2023. He broke the window of his truck and climbed onto the roof of it to rescue three people who were being swept away in the flooded Osong Underground Passage.
Four days later, on July 19, LX Pantos expressed its gratitude for Mr. Yoo’s efforts and sacrifice in saving several lives during the incident, announcing its decision to provide him with vehicle damage support.
Mr. Yoo has been under a transportation outsourcing contract with LX Pantos since 2020, performing cargo transportation duties with a 14-ton wing body truck at the Cheongju Logistics Center.
Speaking about the incident, Mr. Yoo said, “At that time, the situation was so urgent that all I could think was to rescue those people as quickly as possible. Anyone in the same situation would have done the same thing. I am very grateful to LX Pantos for their support.”
For its part, LX Group is considering various other support measures, including setting up a donation fund and providing LX Housys interior materials to assist victims affected by the recent heavy rainfall.
