Information Security Management
- Establishing a secure information protection environment for secure logistics services
On April 20, 2023, LX Pantos announced it had successfully acquired ISO 27001 certification for its information security management system (ISMS) from the prestigious British Standards Institution (BSI).
The ISO 27001, which was jointly formulated by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), represents the pinnacle of international standards for information security. This esteemed certification is awarded following a meticulous evaluation of 14 key areas and 114 detailed criteria, covering aspects such as corporate information security policies and organization, as well as responsiveness to potential information security breaches. The scope of this certification extends across LX Pantos’s global network, including logistics warehouses and transportation services at its six business premises in Korea and abroad.
This achievement highlights LX Pantos’s dedication to constructing a world-class information security management system, one with a specific focus on creating a secure environment for its logistics services. Given the inherent nature of the logistics business, which involves the handling of personal information commissioned from cargo customers, the certification is anticipated to enhance LX Pantos’s standing and foster even greater trust among global clientele.
A representative from LX Pantos emphasized the significance of this accomplishment by saying, “Following our pioneering acquisition of the ISMS-P integrated information security certification in Korea’s logistics industry in 2019, the ISO 27001 certification serves as a renewed endorsement of the excellence and reliability of our information security management system.” The representative further added, “Looking ahead, we remain steadfast in our commitment to maintaining the highest level of information protection, ensuring that all our customers can use our services conveniently and their personal data is well-secured.”
