Pantos CEO Wins Trade Promotion AwardFeb. 19, 2009

Pantos Logistics’ CEO Sung-koo Yeo Wins Trade Promotion Award

On February 19, President & CEO Sung-koo Yeo of Pantos Logistics, the largest logistics business in Korea, received the Trade Promotion Award 2009 from the Korea Trade Research Organization (KTRO).

Mr. Yeo was selected as an award winner in recognition of his role in expanding the country’s globalized logistics network through the establishment of overseas corporations, the development of a global management system, and the training of logistics experts.

Yeo said, “I regard the award as an encouragement to work even harder to increase export and make logistics a new growth engine in the face of the many difficulties brought about by the global recession. My employees and I will do our best to fulfill Pantos’ role as one of the nation’s leading logistics businesses.”

Launched in 1992, the annual Trade Promotion Award is given to professional CEOs who make a conspicuous contribution to the country’s economic development through exports, social contribution activities, technological development, cooperation with academic circles, and the exploration of new markets.

The award ceremony, held at the Korea World Trade Center in Samseong-dong, Seoul, was attended by the participants of the 2009 Policy Seminar co-hosted by the KTRO and the Korea International Trade Association (KITA) under the theme of “The Worldwide Economic Crisis and Methods of Trade Invigoration”. Among the attendees were KTRO President Se-yeong Kim, the GNP's chief policymaker Tae-hui Yim, and Trade Minister Jong-hun Kim.
