'To Collectively Manage, Cultivate Logistics Professionals Worldwide'
Pantos Logistics to Construct Next-Generation Human Resources Management System

- To offer multiple language services, integrate human resources management
at 83 overseas affiliates, branches in 35 countries worldwide -

Pantos Logistics (CEO Yeo Sung-koo), Korea's largest general logistics company, said on October 29 that it has begun a project to develop a system for integrating human resources-related management systems at 83 overseas affiliates, branches in 35 countries and that in the head office. The project, entitled the "Pantos Logistics Integrated e-HR System" is the first round of efforts for the construction of global single instance(GSI) that integrates all systems at Pantos' headquarters, overseas affiliates and branches.

※ e-Human Resource (e-HR) is incorporation and use of information technology in human resources management to provide human resources information and services to staff members by utilizing IT systems, including intranet and internet.

Through the construction of the e-HR system, Pantos Logistics plans to strategically and collectively manage human resources at the headquarters, overseas affiliates and branches, and enhance the efficiency in management of human resources affairs in order to cope more effectively with the fast-changing global management environment.

Notably, the Pantos Logistics e-HR system will offer multiple language services to address problems due to language barriers in the course of dispatch of manpower and employment of local staff. Users of the system can process work in a multiple language environment in English, Chinese and Japanese, as well as Korean. Moreover, the system is capable of providing integrated HR information, including job descriptions, training and education, evaluation and career management from the long-term perspective of human resources cultivation, on top of the operation of simple operational matters, including absenteeism and work attitude, salary, fringe benefits and management. As such, the system increases the efficiency in human resources mobilization by allowing for exchange of logistics professionals with different nationalities between affiliates and branches.

Commenting on the construction of the e-HR system, a Pintos Logistics official said, "We have laid the foundation for management of professional logistics human resources, which overcomes language barriers and time difference," adding, "We expect the system will help further accelerate our overseas advance and boost our global competitiveness."

The development of the Pantos Logistics e-HR system will be completed in the first half of next year, and the system will be introduced in phases to all overseas affiliates and branches worldwide.
