Agreement to be Exclusive Service Provider for KOICAOct. 17, 2014

Pantos Logistics Inks Agreement to be Exclusive Logistics Service Provider for KOICA

Pantos Logistics signed on October 17 an exclusive logistics service agreement with KOICA (Korea International Cooperation Agency), which implements grant aid and technical cooperation programs of the Korean government. According to the agreement, the company will provide safe, fast transportation of relief supplies to underdeveloped countries where KOICA operates.

Pantos Logistics will also be the exclusive supplier of logistics service related to overseas aid business and emergency relief programs of the Korean government. The company successfully completed large-scale logistics services last year for KOICA such as supplying relief goods to Haiyan-hit Philippines ? which suffered from record-high damage caused by the typhoon last year ? and conducting the Disaster Relief Exercise of the 3rd ASEAN Regional Forum.

With this partnership, Pantos Logistics and KOICA are now equipped with an emergency relief logistics center with area of more than 4,100 m2 in the logistics center of the Incheon Airport, sharing the warehouse of the UN in Panama in Latin America and Dubai, UAE as part of the cooperation with the UN’s World Food Program.

“Pantos Logistics will share humanitarian values with KOICA and ensure safe, timely logistics service in terms of Corporate Social Responsibility,” said Kim Chun-woo, executive director of Pantos Logistics, in reaction to this agreement.

Meanwhile, KOICA plans to open its relief platform in cooperation with Pantos Logistics so that private organizations and enterprises as well as public institutions can utilize KOICA’s exclusive relief logistics system for the operation of CSR-related or overseas aid programs.
